Glendora Bookshop
Consignment
Policy
Since we have limited space and are constantly looking for new books that capture our neighbors' interests and imaginations, we have developed the following guidelines for local, self-published authors looking to consign their work in our store.
Your book must have an ISBN
Books must have a spine (spiral, coil, comb bindings are unacceptable)
Your book must be a good fit with the rest of our inventory
Our price split for self-published books is 60% (author) / 40% (store), non-negotiable
All books will be stocked for a trial period of 90 days
We will reconcile inventory/sales of your merchandise on a quarterly basis only
Sales of your merchandise will be evaluated at the end of each quarter. Sales performance of one copy or less sold per quarter may result in our decision to discontinue selling this item.
All authors must sign a Consignment Agreement prior to or concurrent with the delivery of any books.
If, as an author, you agree to this policy, we will accept three (3) copies and ask you to write a brief description (3-4 sentences) for the shelf. We will shelve them in our Local/Regional section and will put them face out for their initial few weeks.
Thank you for your support of local, independent bookstores.
